Michael Landon as Charles Ingalls and More
Michael Landon was born on Halloween in 1936 Both his father and his
mother were actors at heart and by trade. Michael Landon's television
career was a long and fulfilling one covering over 30 years of successful
programming. He played in may movies and TV series' over the decades.
Producer Herman Cohen is to credit for jump starting Michael's career with a
roll in a 1957 film "I Was a Teenage Werewolf." One of his most famous
rolls was "Little Joe" on the hot TV series of the time "Bonanza."
Bonanza is where he really shined out and over the course of the 14 year long
series Michael Landon actually directed some of the episodes! Michael
Landon excelled in his roll as Charles Ingalls in Little House on The
Prairie. Let's get something straight here, he wasn't just an actor on
the set of Little House, throughout the 8 years of the series from 1974-1982
he produced, wrote, and directed as well! Michael Landon just kept
going and lit up Highway to Heaven through the 1980's He played in a
pilot that was to be another hit series for him, but in he was diagnosed with
pancreatic cancer that had spread into his liver shortly after he died in May
of 1991. He left behind legacy of quality television and has a star on
the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Michael Landon, we love you.
